TESTOSTERONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY

During your initial visit to T4MEN Testosterone Replacement Clinic one of our professionally trained medical personnel will take a sample of your blood to determine your testosterone level. Certain drugs can affect your testosterone levels and change the results of a testosterone level test. It’s important to tell your clinician about all medications you are taking, including over-the-counter and prescription drugs. Your clinician may ask you to stop certain drugs before your test.

Your clinician may specify a time of day for your test. Because hormone levels are highest in the morning, you may need to take this test between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m.

For men, normal levels of total testosterone fall between 300 and 1000 nanograms per deciliter (ng/dl). Testosterone levels are controlled through regulatory hormones produced and secreted from the brain. Regulatory hormones increase when testosterone levels are low and decrease when these levels are high.

Consultation with a Specialist

If the initial blood test reveals you to have low testosterone, a State and Board certified medical professional will discuss the proper treatment plan with you to bring you back to a healthy testosterone level. Although there are many forms of testosterone replacement at T4MEN Testosterone Replacement Clinic we strictly use injections based on efficacy and safety. But even if you are prescribed testosterone treatment, at T4MEN we recommend a healthy diet, exercise, stress management, and other healthy habits are important to maximizing the benefits of testosterone replacement and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Follow-ups

Everyone wants and expects immediate results, but unfortunately, that's unrealistic. Although many people see an improvement in energy after their first injection, it may take several weeks to feel the benefits of testosterone injection therapy.

After the initial testosterone injection, most patients follow up weekly for subsequent injections. At T4MEN Testosterone Replacement Clinic, we understand men have busy schedules. Our goal is patient satisfaction. As such, follow-up visits for injections are scheduled at the patient’s convenience. Follow-up injections are quick, with most patients being out within 10-15 minutes.
